The Iberian Mathematical Meeting is a joint event of the Real Sociedad Matemática Española and the Sociedade Portuguesa de Matemática. It aims at bringing together Spanish and Portuguese mathematicians in order to develop mathematical research in the future. The fifth edition will be held on October 3-5, 2014 at the University of Aveiro, in Portugal. Following the tradition of previous meetings, it is structured around three main scientific areas: Geometry and Topology, Differential Equations and Dynamical Systems, and Industrial Mathematics. In addition to the plenary conferences, specific sessions for different areas will be held in order to gather expertise and ideas among Spanish and Portuguese mathematicians.

Former editions of the Iberian Mathematical Meeting were held in Lisbon (2007), Badajoz (2008), Braga (2010) and Valladolid (2012).
